brief: We were asked to come up with a modern interpretation of the famous Fritz Lang Metropolis image. Working with costume and make-up designer Hayley Grindle, we achieved the final look by painting Becky the model in metallic body paint. we shot from a low angle to give the picture an epic feel. We then went to work in photoshop to smooth her over and make her look like a robot. Her eyes were constructed from bike light lenses.
We used a sci-fi inspired font on the flyers to enhance the retro futuristic feel and mixed in some comic book skyscrapers and the searchlights to add to the drama.
