Birmingham School Of Acting

Just returned from a photography commission documenting the performances of Birmingham School Of Acting’s summer showcase. Two very contrasting shows. The brooding menace of Polly Teale’s version of “Jane Eyre” and the modern day incest fest of “The House of Yes” by Wendy MacLeod. The standard of acting, direction and design was very high.

Buzzard

It’s not every day you take pictures of a man dressed as a grumpy Buzzard. This was a photo shoot for the publicity material for Bristol Old Vic’s upcoming one man show written and performed by Timothy X Atack, a man who looked surprisingly fetching donned in bird costume.

Big Act

We have recently finished designing all the publicity material for The Big Act’s upcoming charity performance of Alice In Wonderland at the Bristol Hippodrome. This included print, t-shirt and banner design. The play is set in a Las Vegas style fairground and will be conceived and executed in just twenty four hours. The show runs on 23rd August 2009 and was last year hosted by Justin Lee Collins.  All proceeds from the production go to Cancer Relief.

Amazing Artists

How much fun can one man with a camera have? Spent a fantastic few days documenting the textile artists Matthew Harris http://www.photostore.org.uk/seCVPG.aspx?MID=109666&CAT=MAKER and Michael Brennand-Wood http://brennand-wood.com/  who were installing artworks for Colston Hall’s new foyer development. I was so inspired by Matthew’s technique of blow-torching patterns into wood that i tried doing the same on a bit of decking from the SS Great Britain that I’ve got sticking out of my garden.
